Improving Vacant Units
Over the past couple of years Harrogate BID has undertaken various campaigns to improve the look of vacant units in the town centre.
The first one being the ‘Well Known’ campaign which was brought together by Harrogate BID and Harrogate historian Malcom Neesam. Harrogate BID used empty shops to thell the tale of the spa town’s connections to famous people.
Next up is Debenhams, a vacant unit with a large footprint in the town. Harrogate BID teamed up with Sam Porter from Mural Minded to transform the former department store. Covering three large windows and doorways, Sam incorporated colourful florals and wildlife into the mural to give the building a welcome burst of energy.
