Street Ranger

A new, uniformed presence has started patrolling Harrogate town centre with a licence to cut grime!

In 2021, Harrogate BID recruited an in-house Street Ranger. Launched in October 2021, alongside an electronic vehicle with a built-in jet wash, the service is irreplaceable. He plays a huge role in Harrogate Town Centre from being a friendly and helpful presence on the street, to making sure the streets are looking their very best for those all-important first impressions. In just the first month of the service launching there had been 126 graffiti tags removed, 74 reactions to issues from the night before, 38 businesses supported with improving their façade, 57 used needles disposed of safely and 29 licks of paint given to street furniture.
