Street entertainment is back in Harrogate, bringing comedy wit and performance to create a vibrant town centre thanks to funding from the BID team.
You may have spotted ‘Team BGee’ around Harrogate on Saturday (August 3rd) as the crowds gathered to watch their performance dedicated to the terrific Bee Gees trio.
The group danced and sung along to classics from ‘Tragedy’ to ‘Night Fever’, getting members of the public involved
A video of Team BGee even went viral on social media platform ‘X’, capturing more than 1.7 million views as the team performed to ‘Islands in the Stream’.
Matthew Chapman, Harrogate BID Manager, said: “As the BID, we fund this street entertainment to bring an exciting energy to our town centre.
“The guys at MarkMark Productions always bring a positive vibe and do such a fantastic job of interacting with the public.
“Keep an eye out over the coming weekends as they’ll be back with a range of different costumes and performances…”
The BID team work with partners including MarkMark to not only create a great first impression as part of the Harrogate welcome, but to increase footfall and spend and bring a unique animation and experience to the town centre.
Street entertainment will be on show in Harrogate on every Saturday in August, as well as around Halloween and Christmas.
