Northern Powergrid has announced it will carry out essential work in James Street in Harrogate to improve the reliability of the town’s electricity network.
The work will involve two phases which will include excavation work on James Street. Phase one will commence on Monday, August 5th for approximately five working days. The team will be putting up safety barriers round the excavations to ensure safety.
Northern Powergrid expects to have the excavation filled in and the barriers removed no later than Friday, August 9th.
The work will take place directly outside properties along James Street and Princes Street. Due to this, the pay and display parking will be suspended over the course of these works – and it’s kindly asked that alternative parking arrangements are made to enable the work to be completed as quickly and as safely as possible. Pedestrian access will remain open.
Phase two will commence at a later date for approximately 10 working days.
