March 2023 Newsletter

Spring has most certainly sprung, isn’t it lovely to see the stray blooming with daffodils and crocuses as the longer days and sunnier weather sets in.

In this edition of the newsletter, we recap on some of the fantastic things that have been led by the BID team over the month of March. From mothering funday events to spring cleans of our streets, we have been busy. We also look ahead to April and May with our forthcoming dog show, celebration of fashion and ping pong parlour all on the horizon.

Finally, I am looking forward to welcoming you to the launch of our next five-year business plan, which takes place on the 26th April. Details of which are in the newsletter, including a link where you can register.

Thank you for your continuing support, and if you have any questions of me, please do get in touch at dan.siddle@harrogatebid.co.uk

Yours sincerely

Harrogate Fashion Show

In May we will be hosting a celebration of fashion to celebrate the wonderful mix of retail shops that call this town their home.

A pop-up catwalk will be the focal point for the event in the Victoria Shopping Centre piazza area, whilst retailers will themselves host in-house pop-up unique experiences to attract the fashion conscious.

The event will take place on Saturday 20th May between 10am and 5pm – so save the date in your diary now!

Retailers wishing to showcase their ranges, from wedding collections to activewear, vintage to seasonal outfits, are invited to secure their place within the celebration by emailing info@harrogatebid.co.uk.

Ping Pong Parlour Makes A Comeback!

This weekend, we welcomed back our pop-up ping pong parlour, following a successful debut in September 2021.

It reopened on Saturday 1st April and will be open seven days a week during retail hours. It boasts four tables for public use and as bats and balls are provided, all players need to do is bring an opponent.

We’re encouraging people to come along and take part, and for all those that do, there will be a monthly competition for those who ‘check in’ through a QR code to win a £50 Harrogate Gift Card.
