The Harrogate BID team is looking to expand with a new Street Ranger role, which is now open for applications.
The new Harrogate Street Ranger will join Chris Ashby, who currently works in a similar role, to continue to make Harrogate clean, attractive and a great place to be.
This reactive and pre-planned operational, public facing role is critical in the delivery of the Harrogate BID Business Plan. Working closely with BID members, local authorities and other influential organisations within the town, this new job will be a key element in creating a town centre that is welcoming to all.
Through both an online portal and verbal requests, the Street Ranger will have a variety of reactive tasks to respond to. These may involve jet washing or disinfecting the town’s hot spots, regular steam cleaning in high footfall areas, weeding and tidying in key locations, painting and upkeep of street furniture, removal of graffiti tags, jet washing business entrances or outside areas, carrying out weekly inspections to collate reports and repairing damage to levy payers’ properties.

After carrying out lengthy research, the BID is confident that the new addition will benefit the not-for-profit organisation’s work towards achieving the three new objectives – ‘Pride in our town’, ‘A Vibrant Town’ and ‘Voice & Vision’ – leading to accomplishing the overall Business Plan for it’s second term over the next five years.
Anyone wishing to apply for the role should send a CV and cover letter to info@harrogatebid.co.uk with the job title as the email subject. For further information, please ring the BID office on 01423 582030 or email in advance of applying.
This role is not open to applications from agencies or third parties.
