A Harrogate business is offering free advice and guidance to BID members as telecoms and phone numbers make the move into a new IP world.
Xi Comms, based in Windsor House in Harrogate, said it wants to support our members to seamlessly transition their telecoms and telephones into this new IP world.
BT said it will terminate its old telephone networks at the end of 2025. This process started in 2017 and is gathering momentum – and it will impact consumers as well as businesses. Copper and digital telephone lines will cease, as will any service provided over those lines including broadband, alarms and telephone numbers.
Xi Comms said restaurants, shops, guest houses, hotels and all other businesses need to be aware of these changes – and if they have not already migrated away from these old services, they need a plan to do so.
So, the Harrogate-based company is offering free advice to ensure the 2025 ‘Switch Off’ has no impact on business in our town.
As a BID member, you will get free, honest guidance to move your telecoms and phone numbers to the new IP world. You will get support from a local company with a reputation for high service levels – and the offer is likely to reduce telecoms bills and cut costs.
As well as this, for every new broadband line, mobile or fixed line telephone subscription placed with Xi Comms, the firm will offer a £30 Harrogate Gift Card to you or to a local charity of your choice. This is subject to terms.
