The crowds gathered at the third annual Harrogate Dog Show over the weekend for a day of top classes, wonderful workshops and all-round fun!

More than 18,000 people passed through the Piazza area at the Victoria Shopping Centre as owners and their furry friends visited to visit the show on Saturday (April 13th).

A vast range of breeds were on show during the classes, from huge Huskies and Great Danes to playful Pomeranians and Dachshunds.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen was on hand to offer her experience and knowledge during the judging, which saw Star take home the top prize of ‘Best in Show’ – congratulations!

We’d like to give a big thanks to Your Harrogate for presenting during the event, the York Dog Park team for their excellent support with the organisation, the stall holders offering a fantastic range of products and the prize donors.

We’d also like to give a special mention to this year’s category sponsors Verity Frearson, Lucy Pittaway and Claro Hill Vets.

The BID team received a lot of positive feedback on the day, with visitors hailing the show a “fantastic event” and a “lovely show bringing many people into our town centre.”

We’re delighted that Harrogate residents and businesses enjoyed the Dog Show again this year and look forward to hosting it again in 2025!

At the BID, we organise events such as the Harrogate Dog Show to create a vibrant town atmosphere in Harrogate. We want to promote our town in a variety of ways, to ensure visitors from far and wide travel to us and to make sure residents continue to love where they live.
