With the exception of Emergency Vehicles where access will be maintained at all times. Should you require support from any of the Emergency Services please contact them directly as you would normally do. Where possible, please also inform event control if you have requested Emergency Service attendance so we can ensure we are prepared and ready to get them to you as fast as possible. Your event control contact is Rob Manley, 07976 318848.
We recognise that during the Christmas Fayre deliveries will be impacted, however for the safety of all involved we ask that you facilitate your deliveries between the following days and times.
- Monday to Saturday after 8pm and before 9am
- Sundays after 6pm
Access is still available on foot at all times so should you need to receive a delivery during the market operating hours, these can be made by parking in any one of the loading bays on James Street or at the back of Victoria Shopping Centre and carrying the goods through.
Harrogate Christmas Fayre will be installed from the evening of Sunday 30 November and will be removed by Wednesday 17 December. Disruption will be kept to a minimum and will be carried out outside of normal opening hours and overnight where possible.
All the town centre car parks will operate as normal and will be available for residents and visitors to use.
The public toilets will operate on the same basis. However, we would respectfully request that businesses and premises that have public toilets please make them available during the Christmas Fayre. It can offer a great way of attracting people into your business.
Once again Visit North Yorkshire, part of North Yorkshire Council and Harrogate BID are working hard to ensure the festivities return to Harrogate and to help drive visitors to our shops, restaurants, visitor attractions, hotels and B&Bs. You can find our Christmas campaign page featuring the Harrogate Christmas Fayre at visitnorthyorkshire.com/Christmas or scan the QR code to go direct to the Harrogate Christmas Fayre listing. It would be great if you can share these links with your customers.
The Candy Cane Express Road Train is returning and will operate on the 5, 6 & 7 as well as 11, 12, 13, & 14 during the same hours as the Christmas Fayre, although it does take a well-earned break between 4:30pm and 6:00pm. The train follows the same route as previous years with the same stops. Once again the train is FOC through sponsorship from Visit North Yorkshire and Harrogate BID.
As well as the Harrogate Christmas Fayre, there will be an artisan market in Valley Gardens, Harrogate ran by Little Bird Made over the three weekends of the Christmas Fayre. The Artisan market will be open 10.30am to 3pm. The artisan market will feature approximately 60 local and regional traders and producers who will sell a variety of festive arts and crafts, clothing, homeware, jewellery, as well as food and drink.
I hope you find all the information above helpful but if you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly (contact details below).
