The BID team are delighted to announce they have committed to acting as the main sponsor of Harrogate Beer Week, which is set to return to the town later in the year.

This will be the fourth year of the event – which is a week-long, town-wide celebration of Harrogate’s craft beer, brewing heritage and beer culture in the local community.

Running from 16th – 22nd September, the Beer Week will celebrate the quality of Harrogate’s social scene and night time economy, offering a programme of special events, offers and promotions hosted at bars, brewery taps and eateries across the town. It’s not a traditional beer festival and is intended to bring something new to the town, disrupting the norm of the perceived ‘brand Harrogate’ while embracing a new perspective on what our town has to offer.

The campaign will be delivered by local beer and pubs champion and marketing specialist, Rachel Auty. Rachel has worked with some of the UK’s leading craft breweries, journalists and influencers – and is currently a Director on the board of the British Guild of Beer Writers.

Rachel said: “Harrogate Beer Week puts a spotlight on our fantastic beer scene and I’m really proud to be leading this project and supporting my hometown.

“From past years we know the event delivers direct benefits to the town centre and independent beer and food businesses. It has a notable positive impact on the wider town, including retailers, accommodation providers and leisure facilities.

“By supporting and collaborating as a community once again, we can make this year the best one yet.”

Organisers are now seeking local venues who would like to get involved and sponsors keen to support the event and benefit from positively boosting their profile across the town. For more information, please contact rachel@cameronrae.com.
