Harrogate BID is excited to announce the installation of brand-new creative lighting on a town centre street to allow for celebrations across different events all year round.
The new outdoor lighting, fully funded by the BID, has been put in place along Beulah Street and in the trees around the Cenotaph area as part of the Business Improvement District’s (BID) public realm and street dressing schemes.
Over the next couple of weeks the BID team are working with partners and contractors on the installation of the lighting, which is hoped to be in place and shining bright for mid-September.
The series of bulbs will remain in place full-time and can be changed to different colours and patterns to fit with the time of year of specific celebratory periods, from Christmas to Halloween.
Matthew Chapman, Harrogate BID Manager, said: “We’re delighted to increase our eye-catching public realm offer around our town with this new lighting.
“Alongside the bunting placed around the town centre, these lights will add further additionality as they will allow us to create displays to mark different periods throughout the year.
“As the BID, we work hard to highlight Harrogate as a must-visit destination as well as a great place to both live and work – and adding extra street dressing such as this is a fantastic way to do so.”
The BID’s public realm and street dressing campaigns are aimed at promoting Harrogate’s unique welcome, creating a vibrant town centre through targeted campaigns and impressive installations.
The BID team continue to ensure Harrogate is a safe, clean and welcoming place for all. They want pride to shine through in the town centre and these additional projects and campaigns strengthen the environment for not only businesses, but visitors and residents too.
